Betty Westgard is a recently retired English professor who has always loved music. She's played in orchestras and small ensembles and sings in a church choir. During college she studied with Bernard Goldberg and Ethan Stang of the Pittsburgh Symphony. She plays the Haynes flute her father, a self-taught flutist, bought for himself in 1957.
