Geri began playing the flute in the fifth grade when she was copying everything her older sister did.  She has played with the Madison Municipal Band since 1992 and is a founding member of the Madison Flute Choir.  An enthusiastic avocational musician, Geri goes to band camp every summer in Michigan.  She recently purchased a new Yamaha flute, finally retiring the Armstrong her parents bought her in 1978.  Geri works for the State of Wisconsin as director of the State Capitol Tours program.
